IIIT Allahabad is among the most sought-after technological institutes in the country. It offers excellent academics and learning resources such as 24 hours open labs. IIIT Allahabad's coding culture is among the best in the country. Students of this institute have made their mark in all competitive coding forums. It has a well-established alumni base. Almost all IVY league schools had IIIT Allahabad alumni as students.

The institute has a remarkable placement record. During IIIT Allahabad placements 2022, the highest CTC offered was INR 1.4 CPA. Major MNCs like Facebook, Google, etc. recruit from the campus drive.

If you have a strong liking for computers, IIIT - Allahabad is the place for you. The IT here is really different from all the other colleges in our country. The course structure is much better than other colleges. One of my cousins was in IIIT–A. He had an amazing four years of his engineering in IIIT-A when the curriculum was not as strict as it is now.

The only thing that is responsible for the good placement of IIIT-Allahabad is its competitive coding culture but now the scene is a bit different. The new faculty here is very strict to academics and is resulting in degradation of its very coding culture due to strictness of curriculum.

For this reason, I would advise you to prefer DTU/NSIT/IIIT-Delhi/BITS/new IIT’s instead of coming here to new sessions.

If we focus on course structure in IIIT-A it will be as follows:

In the first 8 weeks, you have to do 4 assignments per subject followed by a discussion
There shall be a presentation and at the end of the 8th week, you have give a review test.

On the other hand, the present administration in IIITA is the worst you can imagine. It is not at all lucky to go with students. Nobody from the administration helps or cooperates with students. The new hostel BH5 and its mess and food all are degrading. Moreover, it must replace the entire administration including all the teaching staff of this institute by MHRD if much needed. All the students have a very hard life here. Everything related to students is being run at worst.
