Considering this year's figures, The highest number of students were placed in the IT / ITES sector followed by the Consulting & BFSI sectors. The table below shows TAPMI PGDM General Placements 2022 Sector-wise.

Sector

Percentage of students placed

Average Salary

IT/ITES

36%

INR 12.8 LPA

Consulting

34%

INR 12 LPA

BFSI

23%

INR 11.8 LPA

FMCG and retail

2%

INR 14.1 LPA

Others

5%

INR 14.2 LPA

Apart from figures and placements you should choose the field of study based on your own interests and strengths not on the faculty or features of the college.

TAPMI has very good faculty in all the subjects. IT was and is a major recruiter here. It also gives tough competition to Consulting. So, IT and Consulting are the major specializations opted by the last batch followed by BFSI. But if you have a specialization in mind go for that and don’t just depend on statistics.

Moving on to your next question that why is TAPMI better than KJ and NMIMS Bangalore Well, this is because it has

  • better faculties
  • closely monitored curriculum
  • good infrastructure
  • better research facilities
  • strong alumni network
  • international accreditation ( AACSB)
  • Better placement opportunities

All this makes TAPMI better than KJ and NMIMS Bangalore.

MBA from T. A. Pai Management Institute

Finance and Marketing are the best specializations at TAPMI. The placements are better in these domains. According to the highlights of TAPMI placements 2022, the maximum number of students got internship offers from the Banking and Financial Services. Students also get good placement opportunities in the IT/ITES sector. During this year’s placements, the average CTC offered was INR 12.5 LPA.

TAPMI has a flexible pedagogy. Students get the freedom to choose their subject combinations from various areas such as Marketing, Finance, HR, Analytics, etc.

Compared to NMIMS Bangalore and KJ Somaiya, TAPMI offers better learning resources. It has international accreditation and an active research culture as well. These are some of the reasons, MBA aspirants choose TAPMI over these B-Schools.

MBA from T.A. Pai management institute (2013)

You have to spend 3-4 years of your career in college. So, it would be better if you choose the branch in an MBA college based on your strengths and not the college’s strengths. TAPMI provides a great learning experience. Once you have expertise in your field of interest, placement will become easier. Impress the recruiters with your knowledge and problem-solving skills.

TAPMI has amazing faculty in all subjects. But we would rather focus on everything in terms of placements. IT companies were major recruiters in TAPMI and used to hire candidates from all fields. Have a look at the placement reports and you will get a clear idea of how the situation has changed.

The last batch had maximum students who had opted for Marketing and Finance followed by Operations and HR. Many high packages were offered to the Operations role. Some of the best packages came from BFSI and consulting. HR graduates are doing better in terms of salary and lifestyle than people from BFSI and consulting.

If you have your area of specialization in your mind, it’s good. But if you don’t then you should go to an MBA college, finish the first year of your college and then evaluate yourself based on your strengths and weaknesses and then select your area of specialization.

TAPMI has better faculty members, a closely monitored curriculum, good infrastructure, better research facilities, alumni network, international accreditation, and better placements.
