You should prefer University of Toronto or McGill. If you get accepted at both the university, choose one of these according to your preference.

UofT has one of the best fine arts programs in the world. Their Biology minor program offers an introduction to Cell & Molecular Biology, Evolutionary Biology, Ecology, and Physiology. McGill’s Biology program is more research-oriented. You will get a chance to work and collaborate with some of the best and brightest researchers.

UofT and McGill also rank higher than Concordia. UofT was ranked 18th in World University Rankings 2022 by Times Higher Education.  McGill was ranked 44th by THE.

Here is a brief comparison of UofT and McGill University.

Parameters UofT McGill University
Undergraduate tuition fees(International)  45,690 CAD 29,200 CAD
Acceptance rate  43% 48.9%
Average base salary for graduates CAD 68k CAD 62K

The science programs of Concordia University aren’t as refined compared to UofT and McGill.

Bachelor of Science Degrees, McGill University

All three of these are counted among the most popular colleges in Canada. However, you can safely say Mcgill and UToronto have a better brand value due to their rankings (#25 and #31 respectively) as well as distinguished science programs. THE ranks them at #1 and #2 respectively in terms of graduate employability in Canada.

The Biology program offered by UToronto mainly emphasizes on the latest innovative edge technology and new clinical and research techniques. Whereas, Mcgill’s Biology program is purely research-based and introduces its students to the latest techniques and methodologies in the field of Biology. Students will have easy access to advanced laboratory services for more hands-on experience and research purposes.

The table below gives a detailed comparison of the three universities:

Parameters University of Toronto McGill University Concordia University
Ranking (QS WUR 2021) #25 #31 #477
Acceptance Rate 43% 45% 49.3%
Cost to Study $20379-47086 +$33702 (Hostel+Meal) $13470-34242+$29142 (Hostel+Meal) 13725-19856+21862 (Hostel+Meal)
Placements for MS (Average) $98,000 $100,000 $110,000

We can see that while the first two universities are pretty reputable, their acceptance rate and expenses are considerably higher than Concordia’s. Concordia University's undergraduate Biology program features Gene study, Organism physiology, Morphology, Anatomy Analysis, Cell study on the living system, and lots more.

While Concordia’s science programs are not as refined, it is also a great alternative because of its cost and placements. Overall, it depends on your personal preferences.
