Some of my friends studied at Heritage Institute of Technology. According to them, getting into a decent company through campus recruitment from any of the private engineering colleges doesn’t necessitate much effort. Let me state some facts which may be useful to you.

  • No matter how hard you work, landing a solid job that matches your goals is really difficult.
  • Only a few good companies visit the campus, and those that do are almost always IT firms.
  • The college TPO will keep pressuring you to attend IT company campus drives, which most students would want to avoid if core firms came to recruit.
  • All companies require a minimum GPA of 6.5–7 in order to be considered for a campus drive.
  • You have no chance if you’re below that.
  • To get into a corporation, though, you must have at least an 8 GPA.
  • Companies do discriminate based on your grades, regardless of how much expertise you have.
  • You mess up one topic, putting your whole semester grades in jeopardy, and your portfolio suffers as a result.
  • Aside from your departmental studies, prepare and build aptitude skills.
  • The first round of the interview process is the most difficult because it depends not only on your personal abilities, but also on the computers and servers that you are utilizing at the time.
  • Your focus and general knowledge will get you to the following round.

TCS accepts a large number of ECE students from college. When compared to their core counterparts, IT firms recruitment processes are significantly more liberal and discriminatory.

In a word, you’ll need a GPA of at least 8 at the end of your sixth semester, strong aptitude skills, and a touch of luck can make you win a spot in the campus drive.
