Which one is better, NIT Calicut CSE or IIT KGP agricultural?

NIT Calicut CSE is a better option compared to IIT KGP Agricultural. It offers good academics and placement opportunities for CSE. Companies like Amazon, Cisco, Infosys, Microsoft, etc. visit NT Calicut placements. During 2022 campus drive, students of CSE received an average CTC of around INR 20 LPA. The highest package for CSE goes up to INR 49-50 LPA.

One thing I can assure you now is that no matter what others say you should take the branch you prefer.

If you wish for the CSE branch then go with NIT Calicut. Do not choose a college just based on its nametag. Because if it is not a popular branch, it will provide lesser opportunities.

Even if the college is IIT. Do not go if it is not your preferred branch. Getting a branch change is almost impossible in IIT after 1st year due to stiff competition. CSE from NIT Calicut will provide better job opportunities.

If you wish for the IIT tag there are alternative options, with your JEE Advanced Rank you might get ECE or EEE in any of the new IITs like Indore, Hyderabad, Gandhinagar, Tirupathi, and Dharwad, etc. Try checking with the cutoffs from last year.
