The college life at IIT Mandi is very poor because of the remote location. You will not be able to experience urban college life. The branches are not at par with the Mechanical and Electrical branches of IIT Indore and Jodhpur.
CS at IIT Mandi is decent though. Despite being new, IIT-Mandi has recorded an increase in placement over the past five years. Whether a particular degree is worth the money you spend depends on a number of factors like your financial background and your future prospects. One of my relatives completed his BTech in CSE in 2012 and got a job that helped him pay back the loan within 2 years. However, this may not be the case for everyone. That being said, consider the following scenarios
Nevertheless, if you are adamant about joining anyways, go for CS or IT which will provide better placement opportunities than other branches.
I think choosing IIT (BHU), Varanasi is a better option here considering the various perks it will offer
IIT BHU is one of the oldest institutes and is daily a preferable choice to IIT Hyderabad, a new IIT.

IT at IIIT Allahabad is a better option, compared to CSE at PEC. In terms of academics, facilities, and placements, it has an edge over PEC. IIIT Allahabad placement 2022 concluded with an average CTC of INR 19.52 LPA. The highest CTC offered this year was INR 32.5 LPA. The placement rate was around 100%. The campus has a good student crowd, peer learning opportunities are ample.
But PEC has a locational advantage. Compared to Allahabad, Chandigarh offers better exposure and career opportunities.
Between the options, you should choose NIT Surathkal IT. Here are the reasons why.

You will have to stay here in the hostel, which provides a good experience for them. During the tenure of the course, you will learn how to take care of yourself. Also, if your hometown is Bangalore, then you can frequently visit home.
My brother recently graduated from UIT RGPV. Generally, you will have to pay a minimum of 2.5 lakhs, which includes test fees. If you're lucky enough to get a decent PET score, another alternative is TFNP, which doesn't require you to pay tuition and helps you to finish your degree in and around 1 lakh easily.
The year-wise course fee is around 25,000. In the first year, college buses are compulsory so you have to pay around 8,000 - 10,000 for it. You also need to pay for the semester examination form fee which is around 1300.
