Regarding admissions in KIIT, instead of contacting the admission team by phone or mail just pay a visit to the Admission department located in the Koel Campus and they will provide you with every necessary detail on how to get admission through different processes. While asking about the admission procedure, mention your choice of branch and other preferences.
You can get direct admission through direct admission to your desired branch but will cost you a huge amount of money if applying through direct admission. You can also get admission through the entrance exam conducted for it in which the cut-off goes really high. Direct admission will cost you a lot of money so if there’s no financial problem and you don’t want to waste another year then you should definitely go for it.
Do not contact any agency or third party for admission because KIIT does not take admission that way.
One of my friends graduated from KIIT and here are some things regarding your question, I got to know from her.
I can share the laptop specifications for the year 2019.
KIIT will provide you free service on any problem with the laptop other than damage dealt by you for which you have to pay for the service.

There are 240 KIIT CSE seats for B.Tech. Here is the seat matrix according to student enrollment and graduation.
Academic Year | 2020-21 |
Students in 1st year | 240 |
Students in 2nd year | 274 |
Students in 3rd year | 288 |
Students in 4th year | 288 |
Number of students graduating (year) | 288(2021) |
So, for first year, KIIT takes 240 students for B.Tech CSE.
IEM and KIIT both are good options for CSE. Given below are a few of the aspects of the institute which can help you in making the right choice.
Comparison:
If you go for IEM, you can stay in Kolkata and prepare for various examinations like GATE, CAT, etc. Also, IEM is more affordable. So, choose accordingly.
If you are a student at Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) in India and you get a backlog in a mid-semester exam, the following things may happen:
It is important to note that the specific policies and procedures for dealing with backlogs may vary depending on the course, the department, and the university. It is always a good idea to consult with your professors or academic advisors to understand your options and the steps you need to take in order to stay on track for graduation.
With your decent score, you might be able to make it to a tier 3 government college. Well, whether you would get into the CSE branch or not would be based on your performance in the GD & PI round.

The 100 percent placement is guaranteed when the students in the branch are equally hardworking and skillful in their subjects of interest.
A few years back my friend made it to KIIT with a 6000 rank. But, now KIIT has increased its student intake and anyone can get a good branch with this rank.
You may not get the seat in the 1st counseling as the closing rank was 5356 this year. But you will surely get through with the 3rd or 4th counseling. You can get a branch to upgrade according to the seats available.
The catch is that the number of seats has increased, reciprocatively the demand for CSE has also increased. Your chance of getting a CSE is good.
Getting CSE in KIIT with a rank of 39251 will be difficult. In 2021, the required cutoff for CSE at KIIT was 5044. KIIT only takes into account your score in KIITEEE and your board percentage for admission.
However, if you get admission to a different branch, there is still an option for changing the branch to another department. If you have the required GPA in the first semester, then you can put it in the application for changing the branch to whatever they wish for. You can talk to the seniors and know the procedure.
I have a few friends from KIIT and according to them, the gym in KIIT is equipped with the latest machines and instruments. Students can visit the gym from the 1st year itself however they are not allowed to use the gym facilities till the 2nd semester begins.
As 1st-semester students, you won’t be able to use the gym facilities. The restrictions are lifted for the 2nd-semester, and students are allowed to hit the gym and engage in any activity they wish for. The 1st-semester students are not allowed for security reasons.
