Which is better for mechanical engineering, PDPU or Nirma?

MR
Mayank Rathi Posted On : January 19th, 2022
B.Tech Petroleum Engineering, Pandit Deendayal Energy University, Gandhinagar (2013)

According to the reviews online, pursuing Mechanical Engineering from PDPU will be a better choice than Nirma University.

  • Though Nirma is a more experienced university, it lags behind in exposure and facilities provided to the students.
  • PDPU being a newer institution satisfies all the requirements of the students, be it well equipped labs or classrooms.
  • PDPU has a well experienced faculty.
  • They provide proper industrial exposure through seminars, industrial visits, internships, etc.
Categories Nirma University PDPU
Course Fee INR 7.24 lakh INR 9.73 lakh
Placement Percentage 70% 70%
Highest CTC 12 LPA 10-12 LPA
Average CTC 5 LPA 6 LPA
Recruiting Companies L&T, Bosch, etc. Hindustan Unilever, Nayara Energy, etc.

The placements are also better at PDPU. Nirma University, though more experienced, has deteriorated a lot in recent years, therefore it is better if you go for PDPU to pursue Mechanical Engineering.

Which is a better option: PDPU computer science or DDU computer science?

SS
Sayani Sen Posted On : January 19th, 2022
B.Tech Mechanical Engineering, Pandit Deendayal Energy University, Gandhinagar (2013)

It will be better if you go for PDPU for computer science than DDU. One of my friends studied at PDPU and according to him, just like any other college, it also has its fair share of pros and cons.

Pros:

  • PDPU offers students with proper industrial visits and job opportunities. They provide the exposure needed to succeed in the industry.
  • They let you familiarize with the functioning of the industry to make you ready.
  • They have the best campus facilities in Gujarat. With a well maintained infrastructure, it even beats the reputed Nirma University.
  • Students here are also encouraged to take part in extracurricular activities, clubs and committees for their holistic development.

Cons:

  • The college is comparatively costlier than other colleges in the region.
  • The faculty lacks experienced professors. Most of the faculty members are new.
  • If doing further studies is your intention then investing a lot of money for a bachelor degree here might not be a clever option.

Therefore, opt for what suits your career goals and can fulfill them. Make an informed decision after going through every detail properly.

PDPU takes admission through JEE Mains merit rank. They have 50% seats for All India and 50% for Gujarat residents. Getting admission through All India and getting enrolled in a good branch is much easier than Gujarat seats.Students should have a 50% in their academic performance to be eligible for admission.

Which is a better option pdpu computer science or ddu computer science?

SC
ShriHari Chaurasiya Posted On : October 14th, 2021
B.Tech in CSE from Pandit Deendayal Energy University, Gandhinagar (2020)

My sister studied computer engineering at DDU. Based on her experience I will recommend you to join DDU. Here are the reasons why you should choose DDU.

  • DDU CSE department is way older than PDPU. As a department, it has more experience. It has also improved a lot over the years.
  • The faculty members are well-educated and highly experienced.
  • The laboratories are well-facilitated.
  • From 4th sam, you will have to do projects. That way you will get to learn about real-life projects.
  • The placement record for DDU is also quite good. The placement average is around 95%.

So, overall DDU Computer Science will be a great option.

Which college is better for ICT, Ahmedabad University or PDPU?

AB
Anusha Banerjee Posted On : February 5th, 2022
M.Tech Petroleum Engineering, Pandit Deendayal Energy University, Gandhinagar (2017)

For ICT, Ahmedabad University is the better choice. It is an old reputed university. The faculty base for ICT is better there. Along with delivering quality academics, it offers decent placement opportunities. In the recent campus drive, the highest and average CTC offered was 15 LPA and 4 LPA.

One of the perks of joining AU is that you will get to choose any course from any faculty with your core courses, be it Management, Commerce, Arts, Life Science, etc.

Which is better, IIIT Vadodara CS or SEAS ICT PDPU CS?

RR
Ravi Ranjan Raj Posted On : June 24th, 2021
B.Tech from Indian Institute of Information Technology, Vadodara (2019)

I have some friends at IIIT Vadodara and PDPU, so I think I can give you some information about them.

  • CSE at IIIT Vadodara started 3 years before PDPU.
  • PDPU has a higher expense and houses a vast campus. Since CSE was recently established, the facilities would be less compared to other colleges. College life at PDPU is more of a luxury with a high fee.
  • If you are genuinely interested in learning CSE and can ignore your own campus life issue then you should choose IIIT Vadodara.
  • Moreover, PDPU is not well-known outside Gujarat. Whereas IIITs are institutes of national importance and the brand value does offer certain perks.

Here’s a brief comparison of the two institutes.

Institute

IIIT Vadodara

PDPU

Course Fee

7.83 lakhs

9.73 lakhs

Average CTC

13 LPA

7.52 LPA

Highest CTC

43 LPA

19 LPA

Major recruiters

Amazon, ICICI Bank, Mathworks

Accenture, Infosys, TCS

Now the final decision is up to you.

How is mechanical engineering of PDPU compared to the mechanical engineering of Nirma?

IR
Indrakshi Roy Posted On : July 14th, 2021
Studied at Delhi University (2019)

According to the reviews online and talking to some of my friends, I got to know that both the colleges are really good. Both the colleges have lively atmosphere and culture and also, the faculties are really good and give great placements. You won’t regret joining either of two.

  • Though life in Nirma is a bit tougher and more suffocating than PDPU.
  • But, the Mechanical Engineering department in both the colleges are amazing.
  • But yes, it is much better in Nirma as far as course curriculum and studies are concerned.
  • Placements are good in both colleges.
  • Top companies such as Reliance and Adani Power come to PDPU for recruitment and in Nirma companies such as Cognizant, Evosys, ZS Associates, Reliance participates.
  • So overall if you are getting mechanical at Nirma then go for it.
Categories Mechanical at PDPU Mechanical at Nirma University
Course Fee 9.73 lakh 7.24 lakh
Highest CTC 19 LPA 20 LPA
Average CTC 16 LPA 12 LPA

Also, from overall view I think you should opt for Nirma. But don’t rush into your decision, think as much as you want and choose the best for you. The decision is all yours at last.
