December 01, 2020: West Bengal government is considering conducting class 10th WBBSE and class 12th WBCHSE Board Exams 2021 in the month of June.
According to reports, West Bengal Madhyamik (Class 10th) and Uccha Madhyamik (Class 12th) board exams 2021 are likely to be conducted in June 2021. However, the board is yet to release the WB 10th and 12th Board Exams 2021 dates.
Previously, West Bengal Education Board (WBEB) had already submitted the class 10th & 12th Board Exam 2021 schedule to the state government. However, the final dates will be announced soon once the state government sanctions it.

WB Board Exams 2021: Schools Closed Since March, Syllabus Reduced to 30%
Educational institutions across the state have not functioned since March due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic crisis. However, online classes are being conducted for school and college students.
Additionally, there is a lot of uncertainty among students regarding Madhyamik and Uchcha Madhyamik board exams 2021 due to schools being closed for more than eight months.
On November 25, 2020, Partha Chatterjee, West Bengal Education Minister had made an announcement that the state government has decided on a reduction of Class 10th and 12th syllabus.
The State Government took the effective decision accepting the expert recommendations to reduce WBBSE Syllabus 2021 and WBCHSE Syllabus 2021 with effect to the pandemic crisis.

West Bengal Education Board (WBEB) had recommended reducing the syllabus for Madhyamik and Uchcha Madhyamik students by 30 to 35% which has been approved by the state government.
The reduction in the syllabus will help secondary and higher secondary level students ease off the academic burden amid the pandemic.
