New Delhi: Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore has invited online applications for admission into its 2-year M.Sc Program in multiple disciplines for the academic session 2022.
The M.Sc programs in various specializations are offered by the School of Biosciences and Technology (SBST), VIT Vellore, and School of Advanced Sciences (SAS), VIT Vellore
The SBST of VIT Vellore is offering M.Sc programmes in Applied Microbiology, Biomedical Genetics, and Biotechnology. Whereas the SAS of VIT is offering a master's program in specializations like Business Statistics, Data Science, and Chemistry, and Physics.

VIT Vellore MSc Admission 2022: Eligibility Criteria
In order to enroll for admissions into MSc courses at VIT are required to meet the following eligibility criteria.
- Candidates who have studied in Regular, Full time and Formal Education are alone eligible to apply.
- Candidate must be a Resident Indian National.
M.Sc. Applied Microbiology / M.Sc. Biomedical Genetics (Optional specialization in Genetic Counseling) / M.Sc.Biotechnology:
Candidates must hold a B.Sc.degree from a recognized university in any branch of Biological Science that includes Botany / Zoology, Microbiology / Biochemistry/Biotechnology / Nutrition (or) Home Science / Agricultural Science /Medicine with an 60% of marks (Inclusive of all subjects)
M.Sc. Business Statistics:
Candidates must have passed graduation in Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Science/ Business/ Commerce/ Economics/Engineering with at least 60% marks (Inclusive of all subjects).
Further, candidates must have studied Mathematics as one of the subjects in +2and degree level.
M.Sc. Data Science:
Candidates must have completed undergraduation in Mathematics/ Computer Science/ Physics/ Statistics orUG Degree in Engineering or Technology in CSE/IT/ECE/EEE/E&I with a minimum of 60% of marks (Inclusive of all subjects).
M.Sc.Chemistry (with specialization in Analytical or Inorganic or Organic or General Chemistry or Pharmaceutical Chemistry):
Candidates must hold a B.Sc.degree in either Chemistry or Applied Chemistry or Applied Science from any recognized university with Physics or Mathematics / B.Pharm (or) Biology/ Botany/Zoology as ancillary subjects with an 60%of marks (Inclusive of all subjects)
M.Sc.Physics:
Candidates must hold a B.Sc.degree from any recognized university with Physics / Applied Sciences with a 60% of marks (Inclusive of all subjects).
VIT Vellore MSc Admission 2022: Application Process
Step 1: Visit the official VIT website @vit.ac.in
Step 2: Navigate to the admissions page and enter into the New applicant page and register yourself with required information.
Step 3: Verify your registered email id and mobile number for the password received from VIT.
(Keep this email id and password till the completion of the admissions)
Step 4: Upload your Photo and Sign image on the online application form
Step 5: Pay the application fee through Netbanking/Debit card/Credit card/Paytm mode.
Step 6: Check the details, before hitting the submit button, save and download the application form for future reference.

Candidates will have to pay an application Fee of INR 600, through Net banking/Debit card/Credit card/Paytm mode to successfully submit the application form.
VIT Vellore MSc Admission 2022: Admission Process
- Candidates should note that the admission process will be done based on the candidate's performance in the qualifying examination U.G. (or its equivalent).
- Candidates will be called for the counselling in the order of merit based on their U.G. marks.
- The fact that a candidate has been qualified and has been called for the counselling does not guarantee their admissions to him/her. Because it depends upon the cut-off fixed on the merit list and the availability of seats.
