Uttar Pradesh: Government Makes Online Provision for New Colleges to Secure university Affiliation; Check Detail Here


Uttar Pradesh government has made online provisions for existing colleges to get no-objection-certificates (NOC) for starting new courses and for new colleges to secure university affiliation from December 23, 2020. 

Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma who also holds the portfolio of Higher Education Department said that these measures have been brought by the UP government to bring more transparency in the process.

Sharma said in an official statement, “For existing colleges to take NOC to start new courses and for the new colleges to secure university affiliation, the process has been made online. The affiliations will only be given online from the academic session 2021-22.”

He added that till now these processes were offline and required a lot of time. He said that the process to obtain NOC for establishing a minority education institution too has been shifted to online mode and simplified. 

Now the application process and the document submission need to be made online to the concerned university. After proper evaluation, the NOC will be issued by the university. 

Monica Garg, Additional Chief Secretary, Higher Education Department said that a timetable has been set for online disposal of affiliation proposals and NOC. The last date for submission of online application for affiliation with the university is April 15, 2021, and the last date for submission of proposals online for new courses for the academic session 2021-22 is December 31, 2020.
