On June 13, 2021, Uttar Pradesh Government has declared that the new academic session admission in various universities, colleges, higher, and technical education institutes will begin in the states from the second week of September 2021.
The decision to commence UP Admission 2021 was taken in a meeting conducted on June 13, 2021, Sunday, by UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. During the meeting, UP CM directed all institutes in the state to announce the results on or before August 31, 2021.
UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath further added that the examination for enrolled students in technical education will also be conducted soon. Referring to the rumors regarding the exam cancellation, Alok Kumar stated the examination will commence from the third week of July 2021.

As per Alok Kumar’s official tweet, “The Government has decided to hold final year exams of all students under the technical education department in the 3rd week of July. Other than final year, exams will take place in the last week of July. It will be objective type and online (sic)”.
Adding to the same, Uttar Pradesh Government officials stated that online examination will be conducted for all students due to the ongoing pandemic, and it will also prevent derailment of the academic session.
Commenting on the preparations being done by the authority to conduct exams, Secretary, Board of Technical Education, Rashmi Sonkar added that the online examination preparations will be done by the examination authority of the universities.
He further added that since the course curriculum of various colleges in the states is still not completed, the examination can only be conducted once the syllabus is completed.
Vice-chancellor of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) Professor Vinay Kumar Pathak said, “Online examinations will help students who do not stay in UP. Since students have to appear online, they can do so from their homes.”.
Earlier, Uttar Pradesh Government declared that the commencement of final year examination for both undergraduate courses, and private universities will also be held soon after the revaluation of the pandemic situation.

Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma further added that in universities where examination has been canceled, students will be promoted to the next grade based on their performance in the previous examinations, and internal assessments.
