UP Medical Colleges: UP CM Yogi Adityanath has announced that Uttar Pradesh state will have a medical college dedicated for each of the districts in the state in the coming years. The plan is to establish 75 UP medical colleges for all the districts in the state and the investors involved in the project will be accorded facilities and join the state’s journey for development.
The State Government is planning to set up medical colleges in each district of Uttar Pradesh. CM Yogi Aaditynath has confirmed the news in a meeting with investors based in the United States. The event was held under the banner of Uttar Pradesh Association of North America (UPANA) for an investment and tourism event.

One Medical College Dedicated to each District
On the event, UP CM said that on his joining in 2017, only 12 medical colleges were present in the large state of Uttar Pradesh, which is not sufficient for the Healthcare frontline facilities for all. He shared his vision to develop the state in terms of the Health Department and has already started the construction of more than 30 UP medical colleges in the state.

The state plans to introduce a new policy on this and will be setting up a medical college for each district in the state.
The event was conducted digitally via a video conference where the UP Chief Minister, interacted with potential investors from the US and discussed measures to develop the state towards a self-reliant state. The CM is set on fulfilling the goal set by Prime Minister Narendra Modi of a self-reliant India (Atmanirbhar Bharat).
The recent development initiatives and construction of new roads, development of tourism, opportunities in the food processing industry and the one district, one product programme introduced in Uttar Pradesh were also being highlighted in the event.
