Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Dinesh Sharma has announced the cancellation of UP Board Class 12 exams 2021 today, June 3, 2021.

The final decision was taken by the state chief minister Yogi Adityanath after a high-level meeting held today. Earlier, the CM had also welcomed the decision of the Central Government to cancel the CBSE Board Class 12 exams.
Minister Dinesh Sharma had stated earlier that the decision about UP Board Class 12 exams would be taken in the second week of July. But the decision had been announced today after a high-level meeting with the UP Chief Minister.
The Deputy Chief Minister, Dinesh Sharma also added that the result evaluation criteria for UP Board Class 12 Exam 2021 will also be announced soon by the state board.
Earlier on Tuesday, CBSE Class 12 Exams 2021 had been cancelled by the Central Board of Secondary Education in view of the Current COVID pandemic situation.
Announcing which PM Modi stated on his official Twitter handle,"Government of India has decided to cancel the CBSE Class 12 Board Exams. After extensive consultations, we have taken a decision that is student-friendly, one that safeguards the health as well as the youth's future."
Although the centre has left the decision for state boards with the states themselves, the decision of CBSE Class 12 exams cancellation had caused a major effect all across the country.
With the announcement of CBSE Class 12 Exam 2021 cancellation,many state boards, like Haryana, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh have also cancelled the State Board Exams 2021 for Class 12 students in view of the current COVID situation and to also ensure safety of all students..
