UP Board Exam 2021: UPSMP to Assign More Girl Schools as Exam Centers, Check Details Here


Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) is planning to allocate more government-run, government-aided, and unaided girls’ schools as exam centers for UP class 10 and 12 board exams 2021 on a priority basis. 

This is being done to increase the participation of girls in exams by providing them the comfort of appearing for the examination in their own schools. Divyakant Shukla, UP Board Secretary said that girls will be allotted centers as per the self-center allotment policy of the state.

According to the revised board exam center allotment policy 2021, more schools are expected to act as examination centers. This is being done to ensure social distancing norms among the examinees in UP Board examination 2021 which will be conducted amid the Covid-19 pandemic. 

A senior UP Board Official said, “In such a scenario, chances of a girls’ school being made an exam center increases manifold and all students of such schools will appear in the exam in their own schools, without having to travel to other institutions to just take the exams.”

He added that even if co-ed schools were allotted as exam centers, the girls of such schools would still be assigned their own schools as examination centers. For this year the total examination centers in UP are expected to be more than 12,000. 

Students who have been allotted their own schools as exam centers need not travel long distances to appear for the examination. Due to the increasing number of girl schools allotted as examination centers, the number of girls appearing for exams is expected to increase compared to the previous years.
