University of Hyderabad Reopens in Phased Manner for PG Students; Read Details Here


University of Hyderabad (UoH) has embarked on the process of "in-person" classes in a phased manner for PG students. The University has allowed about 148 terminal semester candidates of the Science schools and SN School to join the campus to attain their laboratory/practice courses. 

These University of Hyderabad students will be allowed to continue their courses which have either been delayed to the final semester or been left incomplete from the last semester.

The varsity claimed that the respective academic units identified the list of students who returned. A full semester was also conducted online successfully for the ongoing batch of Masters' students along with that the first semester classes also commenced online.

University of Hyderabad has already allowed the return of over 320 research scholars of MPhil, and PhD courses to the campus. In this latest phase announced on January 5, the Task Force analyzed the requirements of academic units which have laboratory or practice components and these requirements need to be fulfilled before students graduate in June 2021.

The varsity said in an official statement that they are hoping this is the beginning of a gradual process and it will continue through the next couple of months. They will soon facilitate the return of most University of Hyderabad students to continue their normal academic work.

The official statement of the varsity read that the administration certainly understands the enormous difficulties that the students have to face with online classes across all the disciplines. He agrees that in the Indian context, there is no satisfactory alternative for classroom teaching and that virtual classes are the last option.

UoH has initiated to ease some of the problems by enabling remote access to digital the library and also granted digital access for needy students. Elaborate teaching training has been offered to teachers to suit this situation for effective online teaching. A learning management system has been arranged in place as the varsity claims.
