Union Education Minister Sets up a Taskforce to Prepare Roadmap for Offering Technical Courses in Mother Tongue; Check Details Here


According to the latest update, the Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has set up a task force to prepare a roadmap for the implementation of the proposal to offer technical courses to students in the mother tongue. 

The task force set up by the Union Education Minister will be led by the Secretary of Higher Education and will comprise all necessary stakeholders from different fields.

On December 2, during a high-level meeting led by the Education Minister, the decision to set up a task force to assess the prospect and prepare a roadmap. 

Mr. Pokhriyal stated this decision in conformity with PM Modi’s vision of allowing students to pursue professional courses like engineering, medicine, law, etc in their mother tongue.

Last week, IIT Kharagpur Director Professor V K Tewari had also talked on this matter stating the need for a policy framework for regional language education not only in schools but also in technical organizations.

Education in regional languages will ensure that language does not cause any barrier in the path of learning.

The Webinar that was supposed to be addressed by the Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank and conducted on December 03 has been postponed. 

According to the new schedule, the #Education_Minister_Goes_Live Webinar in which the Education Minister conducts live interactions with students and parents is scheduled now to be conducted on December 10, 2020.
