In a recent announcement, Education Minister Nishank Pokhriyal has said that he has been conducting meetings for the execution of NEP in both school and the Higher education board.
Apparently, there is a list of 300 tasks prepared for the school education system for boosting the quality of education by the ministry and will be implemented shortly. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said that New Education Policy 2020 will rectify the quality of school education as well as the higher education departments of his ministry across the country.

In an email interview with HT, Pokhriyal said that The Department of School Education and Literacy as well as the Department of Higher Education have been organising workshops to come up with tasks and plans with deadlines for the implementation of NEP 2020.
Giving an example, he explained that the Department of School Education and Literacy are working on the feedback given by States/UTs/Autonomous Bodies and made a list of 297 tasks based on NEP recommendations.

Their top priority is to focus on holistic examination, strengthening teacher education programs. This will lead to the development of the National Curriculum Framework for ECCE and the Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) mission.
Various reforms such as the introduction of regional languages as a medium of instruction, running of multi-disciplinary courses with multiple entry and exit options, and formation of academic banks will be introduced in the higher education sector. Also, digital learning and ICT facilities will be followed for both school and higher education.
Education Minister, Pokhriyal has also shared the vision of establishing a university of Indian Languages called Bharatiya Bhasha Vishwavidyalaya. The reason behind this is to strengthen the youth by India’s diversity. Indian Languages are to be preserved and cherished.
For the structure, the Indian Translation Institute will also be built for the proper research into different languages.
Nishank concluded the interview by saying that SmartBoard will be provided across the government secondary and senior secondary schools for improving the quality of education. The ICT facilities in Upper Primary, Secondary and Sr. Secondary Government Schools will be strengthened after the implementation of NEP 2020.
