Union Minister for Education and Skill Development, Dharmendra Pradhan has recently conducted a virtual meeting with Alan Tudge, Australia’s Minister for Education and Youth. Minister Pradhan in order to strengthen the Australia-India partnership in higher education.
The virtual meeting was held between both countries in order to increase the Australia-India education exchange. The main emphasis was on student mobility, teacher exchanges, applied research, and mutual priority among others.

While talking about the initiative, Dharmendra Pradhan stated that a productive discussion has been done with the Australian Min. for Education & Youth.
"During the meeting, both parties have agreed to strengthen the growing Australia-India partnership in higher education, especially in two-way student mobility, teacher exchanges, applied research, and other areas of mutual priority, '' he further added.
In the meeting, Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Minister for Education and Skill Development discussed various aspects of higher education along with challenges faced by the education authorities regarding the return of Indian students studying in Australia.
As per an official statement, Alan Tudge, Australia’s Minister for Education and Youth stated that both countries will now take steps forward in order to ease the returning process for Indian students who are now studying Australia.

In accordance with Mr. Pradhan’s statement, the National Education Policy will now be implemented to make India a global Knowledge hub, and offer excellent educational facilities to the youth of India.
"The education and skills spectrum has a significant potential for further cooperation between India and Australia", he further added.

"AlanTudgeMP also elaborated on Australia’s preparation, including a students arrival pilot for the return of International and Indian students to Australia. Both India and Australia are committed to supporting Australia-bound Indian students at every stage." the tweet reads.
