UGC Scholarships 2020-21: Applicants Invited for National Fellowship for Persons with Disabilities, Check Steps to Apply


UGC Scholarships 2020-21: University Grants Commission (UGC) has invited applications for the National Fellowship for Persons with Disabilities (NFPwD) for the selection year 2020-21. Candidates who are Indian citizens and fall under the persons with Disabilities category can apply for the fellowship.

Note: Candidates aspiring to pursue MPhil or PhD are eligible for the National Fellowship for Persons with Disabilities and can register online on the official website of the UGC; i.e. ugc.ac.in.

The last date for submitting the application with the required documents to avail the fellowship is February 15, 2021. UGC has also kept the National Fellowship For Persons With Disabilities application correction window open for the candidates.

National Fellowship for Persons With Disabilities: How to Fill Online form

All those candidates who are eligible for the National Fellowship for Persons with Disabilities can fill the form by following the steps mentioned below:

  • Visit the official website of UGC; ugc.ac.in
  • Click on the UGC scheme tab
  • Duly fill the personal information including caste and disability certificate
  • Fill-in Research Work including subject, research topic, department etc
  • Fill-in other Information including Scholarships/Present employment etc
  • Click on the Declaration box and submit your application

National Fellowship For Persons With Disabilities: Documents Required 

Candidates applying for the National Fellowship for Persons with Disabilities are required to keep the following documents ready: 

  • Domicile Certificate
  • Scanned Copy of Disabilities Certificate
  • Caste Certificate (in case of SC/ST/OBC) issued by the competent authority (Tehsildar/SDM)
  • Scanned Copy of Candidate's Recent Color Photograph And Signature
  • Scanned Copy of Master Degree Marksheet
  • Declaration/Certificate from Head of Department/Institution or competent authority of the university, institute, college to the effect of forwarding of application and necessary facilities will be provided to the candidates during the research of MPhil or PhD respectively (from the research place where the candidate has already registered for MPhil / PhD)
