What is ABC?
Academic Bank of Credit (ABC) is an academic service mechanism as a digital/ virtual/ online entity introduced to facilitate students to become academic account holders. ABC will virtually store academic credits earned from recognized higher education institutions (HEIs) and it allows for credit redemption in order to receive a certificate, diploma or degree.
How will ABC Operate?
ABC will operate much more like a commercial bank, where the students will be the account-holders to whom the bank provides services, including credit accumulation, credit transfer, credit redemption through the opening, closure and validation of accounts.
Similar to a bank account, the credit bank will be a repository where students’ academic credits will be calculated and stored based on their classwork and tutorials.
Students who also pursue education as freelancers can accumulate credits. These credits can be deposited to student accounts. After the collection of credits, a student can redeem these credits in order to get any academic degree.
