The University Grants Commission (UGC) has issued a revised procedure for students to file an anti-ragging undertaking through the online mode. The commission has taken this decision under its initiative towards reducing the compliance burden of its stakeholders.
At par with the second amendment to UGC regulations, the commission notified that it is mandatory for all the student and their respective parent or guardian to submit an online undertaking each academic year at any two designated websites, antiragging.in or amanmovement.org.

UGC’s Revised Procedure to File Online Anti-ragging Affidavit
Students can go through the steps mentioned below to file an anti-ragging affidavit.
Step 1: Visit either of two websites: antiragging.in / amanmovement.org, and fill in the requisite details.
Step 2: Read the regulations thoroughly to confirm and agree that you will not engage in ragging in any form.
Step 3: Now, You will receive an email consisting of a registration number and a web link. You should forward the web link to the email of the nodal officer in your university/college.
(Ensure to note that you will not receive pdf affidavits and you're not required to print and sign it as used to be the case earlier).
Step 4: The Nodal Officer in the university/ college will click on the link of any forwarded emails that you will receive from any student of your college to get the list of those students who have submitted anti-ragging affidavits/ undertakings in your college.
The list will be updated every 24 hours. Further, the commission has informed all the universities and colleges to include a mandatory column in the admission form, so that the students can fill the anti-ragging undertaking reference number.

The UGC has mentioned in its notice that students are required to display their address and contact number of the Nodal Officer of Anti-ragging of their university/college in their website and campus areas like Library, Canteen, Hostel, Admission Centre, Departments, and Common Facilities, etc, to promote awareness about the revised process for filing online anti-ragging affidavit.
Furthermore, the universities/ colleges are advised to provide an e-leaflets, or e-admission booklet or brochure, in case of ragging to admitted students instead of print/hard copy.
