A system of credit recognition will also be implemented under the scheme which will enable proper accumulation of credit, credit transfers, and credit redemption for students giving them a proper record of the same.
It can be noted that the system has been brought in to bring more flexibility in an academic programme to the students that will further enable them to seek employment for any level of award and then join back whenever they feel like upgrading their qualifications.
The scheme has also been introduced so that the dropout rate is reduced by giving students easier options and improving Gross Enrolment in the Higher Education of the country. Instructions have been issued to all the higher educational institutions to implement the scheme.
