Tripura Schools and Colleges Reopening: According to the latest media report update, the Tripura State Government has revised its decision regarding the reopening of Tripura schools and colleges in the state.
As per the latest orders of Tripura Government Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath, the schools for class 10 and 12 students as well as Tripura colleges shall reopen from December 07, 2020.

Initially, the government of Tripura had announced that the schools and colleges would reopen from December 01. However, keeping into consideration the pandemic statistics of the state, the state government decided to postpone the plan of reopening.
In a video uploaded on social media, the Tripura Government Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath confirmed the news about the reopening of schools and colleges. He stated in the video that the decision of postponement was taken considering the statistics shared by the Health Department and added that Tripura schools would now reopen only for class 10 and 12 as their board exams are nearer.

The state government has permitted the schools in the state to reopen provided that the schools must strictly abide by the rules and protocols of COVID-19. The school authorities must ensure that the students and staff members entering the school campus are thermally scanned on arrival, sanitization and handwashing facilities are available fully, and everyone maintains social distancing.
In addition to the precautionary guidelines, students need to carry a written consent form signed by the parents to attend school after they reopen. For Tripura college students, the classes would be scheduled by the principals of respective colleges, and the students would be notified soon considering the Education Department Guidelines.
