The notification further said that this order will remain in effect till further orders. In the meantime, schools were directed to continue with the online mode of education. However, there have been aspersions regarding the effectiveness of online classes.

Another recurring point brought up against online classes was the internet divide between people. Since not everyone has the availability of smartphones or the internet many students are left with no choice but to miss the online classes.

Poor internet connectivity has also concerned the students, who face many issues while attending online classes.

The government has also taken note of many of these issues and has tried to come up with countermeasures. The education department of the state has launched online classes, student helpline call centers, video lectures on local TV channels, and SMS based classes for students.

While these initiatives have somewhat remedied most of the problems, uncertainty over their effectiveness still remains.

Meanwhile, the situation regarding the covid-19 virus in the state is still far from normal. As of yet, a total of 32,695 patents have been infected from the covid-19. Out of these around 367 have died while two others have committed suicided due to the stress related to the infection.
