Telangana State has introduced an ePass scholarship for the Pre-matric,Post-matric and students who want to pursue overseas education. The state has a dedicated website which is user friendly where students can apply for the scholarship.

Electronic Payment and Application System of Scholarship is a portal that will be used for the application,approval and status of the scholarship awarded to the students.

The ePass scholarship is awarded in different schemes for all the categories of students. The scholarship can be availed by SC/ST/BC/Disabled Welfare and minority students. The scholarship schemes are mentioned below:

Telangana State ePass Scholarship 2021: Purpose

The Government of Telangana has introduced online Pre Matric , Post Matric Scholarships disbursements through ePass application for the educational upliftment of Students, initiated by the Department of Backward Class Welfare. The system links all welfare departments, treasury, Colleges and Banks to disburse scholarships

Telangana State ePass Scholarship 2021: Eligibility

All the scholarships awarded by the state can be claimed by the residents of Telangana State only. To be eligible for the scholarship, candidates need to consider the below points:

A- Telangana Epass Pre-Matric Scholarships For SC/ST/BC/Disabled Welfare

Eligibility:

• Students need to secure minimum 75% attendance in their class 9 or 10 to be eligible for the scholarship
• The annual income of the candidate’s family should be less than INR 2 Lakhs

B- Telangana Epass Post Matric Scholarship (PMS) for SC/ST/BC/Disabled Welfare

Eligibility

• Students need to score minimum 75% in their 10th boards exam
• Candidates need to enroll themselves in Class 11.

C- Mahatma Jyotiba Phule BC/EBC Overseas Vidya Nidhi, Telangana

Eligibility

• Foreign students who have completed graduation can also apply for this scholarship.
• The maximum age should not exceed 30 years.
• The annual income of the candidate’s family should be less than INR 1.5 Lakhs
• Candidates need to secure a minimum 60% in their graduation.

D- Chief Minister’s Overseas Scholarship Scheme for Minorities 

Eligibility

• Candidates need to secure a minimum 60% in their qualifying exam.
• The maximum age should not exceed 30 years.
• The annual income of the candidate’s family should be less than INR 2 Lakhs
• The scholarship will be entitled for students pursuing higher education in the USA, UK, Australia, Singapore, and Canada.

E- Ambedkar Overseas Vidya Nidhi for SC, ST Students

Eligibility

• Candidates need to secure a minimum 60% in their qualifying exam.
• The maximum age should not exceed 35 years.
• The annual income of the candidate’s family should be less than INR 2 Lakhs (SC students) and 1.5 Lakh (ST students).
• The scholarship will be entitled for students pursuing higher education in the USA, UK, Australia, Singapore, and Canada.

Candidates can either apply by downloading the app or by visiting their website. Below are the step by step guide for applying into the scholarship: Step 1: Visit the official website telanganaepass.cgg.gov Step 2: Click on apply dashboard lo in in the homepage Step 3: Register yourself in the portal with the valid email and phone number Step 4: Read the instructions carefully and fill the application form Step 5: Submit the required documents as instructed Step 6: Download the application form for future use.

Telangana State ePass Scholarship 2021: Benefits

Below are the benefits given for the respective scholarship:

A- Telangana Epass Pre-Matric Scholarships For SC/ST/BC/Disabled Welfare:

 Monetary rewards as per the performance based on academic performance.

B- Telangana Epass Post Matric Scholarship (PMS) for SC/ST/BC/Disabled Welfare:

1. 1. 100% reimbursement in tuition fee (for most of the program).
   2. Around INR 20,000 or actual fee (for self-financed courses).

C- Mahatma Jyotiba Phule BC/EBC Overseas Vidya Nidhi, Telangana:

1. 1. Around INR 20 Lakh (in two instalments) towards fees and living expenses.
   2. An education loan of INR 10 Lakh
   3. Passage grant and visa fees by the government.

D- Chief Minister’s Overseas Scholarship Scheme for Minorities:

1. 1. Around INR 10 Lakh towards living expenses and fees.
   2. An educational loan of INR 5 Lakh.

E- Ambedkar Overseas Vidya Nidhi for SC, ST Students:

1. 1. Up to INR 10 Lakh towards living expenses and fees.
   2. An educational loan of INR 5 Lakh.
   3. Passage grant.
   4. Visa fees.
