Board of Secondary Education, Assam (Seba) has released the schedule for Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) exams 2021. It is reported that over 4.39 Lakh students have registered for the exams.
Seba Assam has planned to commence the HSLC exams from May 11, 2021. According to the timetable released, the exams will end in the month of May for the core subjects whereas the elective subjects paper will end in June.

The Board has informed that the practical examinations for various candidates will be carried in offline mode but at different exam centers due to added problems of COVID-19.
It is expected that the authority will declare the result of the HSLC exams by July 7, 2021. Since the total number of candidates has gone at its all-time high, therefore the number of examination centers have also increased to 878 from 860.

Adding to the center fees, Rs. 25 is also kept to ensure proper COVID-19 precautionary measures. Controller of examinations at Seba, Nayan Jyoti Sarmah highlighted that as compared to the previous year, this year the total number of applicants rose by over 85,000.
She also stated that additional exam centers are included to adjust the increased number of candidates. She said that the additional exam centers must be situated within 1 km from the main exam center.
With innovation and technology upgrading, there has been a change in the evaluation of exam papers also. Software is made at work to enter the marks into a sophisticated system. The technical experts will be in charge and will ensure that the marks are entered accurately.
