Schools for Classes 9-12 in Nashik to Reopen from Jan 4: Check Details Here


Chhagan Bhujbal, Maharashtra food and civil supplies minister and Nashik guardian minister, stated on Saturday that schools for Classes IX to XII in urban and rural areas of the district would reopen from January 4, 2021. The civic and Zilla Parishad authorities must begin the preparations accordingly.

He informed the media after attending a review meeting on the COVID-19 situation in Nashik. Collector Suraj Mandhare, Police Commissioner Deepak Pandey, Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) Commissioner Kailas Jadhav, Zilla Parishad CEO Leena Bansod and superintendent of Police Sachin Patil were also present at the meeting.

Bhujbal stated, “In view of schools opening on January 4, municipal corporations, councils and health agencies should make micro-planning for COVID tests of teachers and non-teaching staff. All schools must be sanitized over the next few days.”

Apart from this, while speaking on the vaccination drive for the COVId-19 infection, Bhujbal revealed that 650 booths will be set up to cater to 100 people each per day in the Nashik district.

On the other hand, State Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad stated that schools in Maharashtra for students of Classes 5 to 8 would only be reopened after the public Health department gives approval for the same.
