SAMS Odisha Second Merit List 2021 was released on October 30, 2021, at around 2 pm for all students to check on the official website – samsodisha.gov.in. Students who applied for Odisha +2 admissions, can check the Second Merit list on the official website, now. 

Earlier, SAMS Odisha Plus 2 Admission 2021 began from August 11, on its official admission portal (samsodisha.gov.in) for all interested and eligible candidates. As the merit list is out now, admissions against it will be held from November 1 to 5, 2021.

• Visit the official website: www.samsodisha.gov.in.
• From the homepage, click the 'Higher Secondary School +2’ tab.
• On the next page, click on 'Phase II Merit list.'  
• Enter District, Stream, Block and College and Click on Submit.  
• Second merit list will be displayed on the screen. 
• Download it for future references.

Note: Admission should be completed till November 5, 2021 (5 pm). After this, the board will not accept any further applications against the second list. Following this, Spot Admissions will begin.  

SAMS Odisha Plus 2 Admission 2021: No Fee Hike For Admission Session 2021-2022

By keeping in mind the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic situation in the country, the Odisha State Government has decided no fee hike for SAMS Odisha Plus 2 Admission 2021. 

Students will now be able to apply for the SAMS Odisha Plus 2 Admission 2021 process without worrying about admission and tuition fees for the academic year 2021-22. 

School and Mass Education Department, Odisha’s decision to offer no hike in admission fees was made after considering the financial crisis faced by the students and their families during the Covid-19 pandemic. 

The department also availed the no-hike policy to the management of autonomous and self-financing schools. The no-hike policy was finalized to ensure that every student can apply for admission despite the struggles of the ongoing pandemic. 

SAMS Odisha Plus 2 Admission 2021 Seats Increased in Arts, Science, Commerce Stream

As per the SAMS Odisha Plus 2 Admission 2021 update, School and Mass Education Department, Odisha increase admission seats in the arts, science, and commerce stream for the admission session 2021-2022. 

SAMS Odisha Plus 2 Admission 2021 38,000 seats will be increased for Arts students, 13,000 seats for Science, and 3,900 seats will be increased in commerce stream for the admission. Referring to the admission process, the School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash stated that the department has received a demand for over 69,000 seats for the admission session. 

However, the final decision has been made to offer a seat hike of 54,900 seats in the SAMS Odisha Plus 2 Admission 2021 process after examining applications. 

Earlier, as per the Odisha Board Class 10th Result 2021 release, a total of 6.7 lakh students were promoted to the next grades, and marks were allotted to them based on the result evaluation criteria released by the examination board. 

With the promotion of 6.7 lakh students, the education board faced the issue of offering admission seats to all students since the seats available in higher secondary schools, ITIs, and government and private diploma institutes are 6.03 lakh.

As a result, the School and Mass Education Department, Odisha increased the admissions seats for the admission session 2021-2022 in order to accommodate all students in higher secondary schools.
