June 03, 2021: Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education Rajasthan (RBSE) has cancelled the conduction of Rajasthan Board 10th, 12th Exam 2021 due to the upsurge in COVID-19 cases across the country.
The decision to cancel RBSE Class 10 and 12 Board Exam 2021 in the state was released a day after the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) had a meeting with the Prime Minister and announced to cancel CBSE Class 12 Exam 2021 due to the ongoing pandemic.
Referring to the announcement, Minister for School Education Govind Singh Dotasra stated that the result evaluation criteria for all students whose exams have been cancelled will be released soon by RBSE.
In his recent tweet, Mr. Dotasara wrote, keeping in mind the possibilities of the third wave of coronavirus pandemic that Rajasthan Board has finally decided to cancel exams for both classes 10th and 12th students.

The decision was made in a meeting with Rajasthan’s Council of Ministers on June 02, 2021, in the interest, and safety of the students, the tweet further reads.
Earlier, the RBSE Class 10, 12 exam 2021 dates were scheduled to commence in May 2021. However, due to the increasing cases of coronavirus, the exam was postponed to a later date.
The decision to promote students of classes 1st to 9th to higher classes without examination was soon released by the state government amid the ongoing pandemic.
With CBSE Exam 2021 cancellation, former CM, Vasundhara Raje requested the Rajasthan Government to take final actions on exam commencement.
Referring to the current pandemic situation, Former CM Vasundhara Raje said, “Considering the feelings of the teachers and family members of the students, RBSE should take an appropriate decision on examinations at the earliest".
“Irrespective of the health of the students during the stressful times of Covid, students cannot be forced to appear for the exam,” she further added.
