Punjab School Reopening: Offline Classes for Classes 5 to 12 Reopen from Jan 7


Punjab Government has announced to reopen the schools from January 7 for classes 5 to 12. The information was passed on Wednesday. 

Punjab education minister Vijay Inder Singla has affirmed that constant requests from the parents have made the government to reopen all government, self-government, and private schools.

Singla stated that the timings of the school will be from 10 am. to 3 pm. Only students of classes 5 to 12 will be permitted to attend the classes in physical. 

Chief Minister Amarinder Singh instructed the department to ensure the safety of the children, due to the COVID-19 condition. Moreover, he has commanded that the school authorities will have to maintain all anti-Covid precautions in the schools.

Adding to this, the Cabinet Minister furthermore said that the Education Department had received responses from school heads. He spoke up about the idea of reopening the schools before the annual examination for the final revision of the syllabus.
