As per the sources, the Punjab state government is considering holding only 3 major subjects for the PSEB class 12th board exams.
In the virtual meeting with the Union Ministers, the Education and PWD Minister of Punjab, Vijay Singla suggested that only 3 elective subjects should be held, if the government wishes to conduct the PSEB Class 12 board exams. Further, he emphasized the importance of security and safety of the students and teachers at these uncertain times.

Mr. Singla also tweeted that the state is committed to ensure the safety of the students and teachers in these difficult times, so the Govt is considering to hold the class 12th board exams for only 3 elective subjects and the matter has been discussed in the virtual meeting with the Union Ministers.
The high-profile meeting was chaired by the Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh and it was attended by all the State/UT education ministers and the school education secretary and chairmen.
Owing to the sudden surge in the number of covid-19 cases, the CBSE Class 10 exams were cancelled and the CBSE class 12th exams were postponed. Also, the state boards including the PSEB have cancelled the class 10th exams and postponed the class 12th exams.

Since the CBSE has taken a decision to conduct the Class 12 exams, the central government has asked for a detailed suggestion from states over the same by May 25, 2021. For which, the Punjab government has suggested conducting the Class 12th exams only for 3 major subjects from each stream.
It was notified by the PSEB chairman Yograj that the PSEB will conduct the Class 12 exams in June 2021 for which the dates are yet to be decided. However, the exams will be held only for three mandatory subjects in each stream.
Further, the question papers and the answer sheets are available and it has been distributed across 2,600 exam centres. He added that the state government will ensure social distancing at every exam centre.
Class 5,8 and 10 Results Released
PSEB has officially declared the results for the class 8 and class 10 students on May 17 while the class 5 results were released on May 24, 2021. The results for class 8 were prepared based on the Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) and the results for class 10 were decided considering the internal assessment. Meanwhile, the students who aren't satisfied with their results can visit the official website of the Punjab Board and can raise their issues at the respective email ids.
