New Delhi: Pondicherry University conducted Job Fair 2022 at its Convention-cum-Cultural Centre on June 4, 2022. The Directorate of Distance Education (DDE) organised it for the university's distance education students to learn about various career opportunities.
Salary packages ranging from 3 to 4 LPA were offered to students in the Pondicherry University Job Fair 2022. The fair was found to be very highly successful by the university, with 64 positions being shortlisted and 17 students receiving on-the-spot offer letters.
A statement from the Pondicherry University said, "In order to fulfil the National mission, as per the UGC directions and with the kind encouragement of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof.Gurmeet Singh, the Director DDE, Prof. Chennupati K. Ramaiah has been continuously organising the Job Fairs every year, however, in the year 2020-21 Job Fairs could not be organised due to the COVID-19 pandemic".
The Pondicherry University Job Fair 2022 attracted companies such as LIC India, Eureka Forbes Ltd., LeBracs Rubber Linings, Integra Software Solutions, Guindy Machine Tools, and Rajsriya Automotive Industries, among others.
These companies expressed their satisfaction with the knowledge level of the distance education students and their desire to participate in upcoming job fairs hosted by the university. Within four to six weeks, PU will host another online job fair. The online Job Fair welcomes students from all across the country to participate.
The Pondicherry University DDE offers about 20-degree programmes such as MBA, M.Com Finance, MA, BBA, B.Com, BA and many more.
