Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced that he will address the nation to mark the successful completion of one year of National Education Policy (NEP 2020).
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said “At 4:30 PM today, that he would be participating in an interesting programme, which will mark one year of the National Education Policy 2020, adding momentum to the efforts towards #TransformingEducation. Moreover, it was notified that Key initiatives relating to NEP will be launched.”
Later in a social media post, the Education Ministry said that on the first anniversary of NEP 2020, PM Narendra Modi will launch multiple key initiatives.

The key initiatives launched by the Prime Minister Modi are the Academic Bank of Credit, Indian sign language as a second language subject in secondary education, NISHTHA 2 for teacher training, Vidya Pravesh - 3-month school entry module for Class 1, SAFAL, National Digital Educational Architecture, CBSE assessment framework, National Education Technology Forum, and others.
In 2020, the National Education Policy (NEP 2020) was approved by the Union Cabinet. The NEP 2020 was replaced by the Education policy framed in 1986. The main objective of NEP 2020 was to transform the education system of India paving the way for transformational reforms in schools and higher educational institutions.
