Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha has announced the dates for Odisha Special Board Exam 2021 for Class 10th students on July 01, 2021. As per the announcement, the special examination will be conducted through offline mode from July 30, 2021.
In a press release, BSE Odisha has revealed that 15,151 students have registered for this exam. 504 exam centers have been alloted for the same. The admit card is now available on the official website, bseodisha.ac.in.
Students who are not satisfied with their respected Odisha Class 10th Board Exam 2021 result will have the option to apply for the special examination as per the scheme, and improve their marks accordingly. Students who wish to apply for the special examination are required to submit the application for the same from July 05, 2021, on the official website of the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha.
Odisha Class 12 Boards Result 2021: Evaluation to be based on Matric Results
Marks secured in the special examination will be considered as final for all exam registered students. As per the board's official statement, students do not have to pay any application fee in order to appear for the examination.
Earlier, the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha had announced the cancellation of the Odisha Board Class 10th Exam 2021 due to the surge of covid-19 pandemic cases in the country.
The result for the same was prepared based on the result evaluation criteria released by the board. As per the alternative result criteria, over 97.89% have successfully passed their grades.
After the Odisha Class 10th Result 2021 release, students, and parents accused the board of faculty assessment and disparity in the result revaluation system. As per a report by The Hindustan Times, “My son scored 95% marks in school tests, but he got only 60% in the final board exams,” alleged a parent. Many such allegations have come forward.
Answering these concerns of students and parents, the Odisha Board stated that no discrepancy in the assessment system has been done. Students have been awarded with marks based on the result evaluation criteria decided by the expert team of educationists and academicians.

Due to the pandemic situation, the Odisha Board had to cancel the examination for all students in the states for students’ safety.
With the result evaluation criteria released, the board also stated that they have given the opportunity to rectify their marks by appearing for the special examination to all students who are not satisfied with their allotted grades.
“While canceling the examination the board has told that those who will not be satisfied with the marks through alternative assessment may appear for the examination in offline mode” the board further added.
