Odisha Medical Colleges: Odisha State Government has accepted the proposal to set up two more medical colleges in Jajpur and Puri with an estimated budget of INR 651.10 Crore.
Finance Minister Niranjan Puraji stated that a private construction major will take up the project of a 500-bedded medical college & teaching facility in Jajpur, and a 600-bedded government medical college and teaching hospital in Puri.

Odisha Medical Colleges Highlights
Finance Minister Mr. Pujari added that the construction will complete in around three years on a turn-key basis. The Odisha Government had announced the plans for a state government medical college and teaching hospital in Kandhamal.
Additionally, the Government has also released plans for a 650-bedded teaching hospital for the existing medical college in Koraput, on December 09.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister B K Arukha stated that the state government had decided to build a 650-bedded teaching hospital at Koraput on a turn-key basis, and a new 100 seated state-run medical college and teaching hospital at Phulbani in the Kandhamal district.
