National Testing Agency (NTA) On Monday rescheduled the ‘Assam Olympiad’ examination and will now conduct it on Sunday, April 11, 2021. Earlier, the ‘Assam Olympiad’ examination was scheduled to be conducted on March 21 across the state. The exam has been rescheduled due to plans to hold elections to the Assam Legislative Assembly in the last week of March.
The Olympiad will be conducted for government school students studying in classes 6 to 12. Candidates who are interested and eligible can submit their applications through the official website - ao.nta.ac.in. The last date for application is February 28, 2021. The exam will be held in 145 cities in Assam.
NTA will open the online correction window till March 3, 2021. While the admit card for the Olympiad exam will be available to download from March 5, 2021.
Note: The exam fee of the Assam Olympiad is Nil. Candidates are not required to pay any exam fee.
The state-level examination will be conducted in pen-and-paper format and will contain multiple-choice questions (MCQ) in maths and science. Candidates will be required to mark their answers on OMR answer sheets.
Assam Olympiad Eligibility, Session, Scheme
Candidates who are presently studying in Class VI to Class XII in Govt. Schools located in the State of Assam are eligible to apply/appear in the exam.
Further, the Assam Olympiad will be held in multiple languages - Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, English. Candidates will have the option to choose any of the four languages to answer the questions.
The exams will be held in both the sessions — morning session (8:30 am to 11:30 am) for classes 6 to 9, while afternoon session (1:30 pm to 4:30 pm) for classes 10 to 12.
Exam Scheme
The Assam Olympiad will have a total of 60 questions from the Mathematics and Science section, each carrying 2 marks. The total marks of the exam will be 120.

Assam Olympiad Result
NTA will release the result of the Assam Olympiad in the month of April 2021. Candidates who will appear in the exam will be provided with a scorecard giving the details of the exam and the marks scored by them in the exam. Candidates will also be given a participation certificate for appearing in the Assam Olympiad.
