NERIST NEE 2020 Exam Cancelled, Admission to be based on Merit


North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST) has canceled the NERIST Entrance Test (NEE) due to the widespread COVID-19 Infection. NERIST NEE  II and III were scheduled to be held on August 8, 2020, while NEE I on August 9, 2020. 

The Conducting Authorities have notified that the admission will be done on the basis of the qualifying examination. 

Interested students are requested to upload their marks along with mark sheet/grade card of qualifying examination and other relevant documents and certificates.

If the candidate does not have the original mark sheet or grade card then the downloaded copy will be accepted by the Institute. Candidates will be able to submit the documents and certificates till August 14, 2020.

Eligibility Criteria for calculation of merit-based admission to Base Module, applicants for NEE I

  • Merit shall be determined on the basis of marks secured by the candidates in Science and Mathematics in Class 10th or Equivalent.

  • In case of a tie, priority will be given to Mathematics.

Eligibility Criteria for calculation of merit-based admission to B.Tech, applicants for NEE II

  • Merit shall be determined on the basis of marks secured by the candidates in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry in Class 12th or Equivalent.

  • In case of a tie, priority will be given to Mathematics, then Chemistry, and then Physics.

Eligibility Criteria for calculation of merit-based admission to B.Tech, applicants for NEE III

  • Candidates must have obtained an aggregate of 60% marks in the qualifying examination.

  • Merit shall be determined on the basis of CGPA or marks obtained in the respective discipline of the qualifying examination.
