NEP Will Build ‘Aspirational New India’, Emphasizes Edu Minister at Techspectations EDUCATE Summit 2021: Read Full Report Here


JAIN Online, the e-learning arm of JAIN (Deemed-to-be-University) hosted the Techspectations EDUCATE Summit 2021 on October 23, 2021, to discuss the emerging possibilities and challenges against the implementation of NEP 2020.

The full-day summit hosted by JAIN (Deemed-to-be-University) was attended by Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Hon’ble Minister of Education, and addressed by the Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India.

During the EDUCATE Summit 2021, around 20 Industry experts along with more than 2000 delegates were present. The event emphasized the National Education Policy 2020’s role in the new India as well as opportunities for students in the aspirational new India.

While addressing the event, Hon’ble Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan said, “NEP is going to transform our education landscape as per the needs of aspirational new India. This policy has come at a time when disruptive technologies like artificial intelligence, virtual reality have taken solid routes into many sectors".

"NEP 2020 has a special focus on Digital education. Our government has announced National Digital Education Architecture ((NDEAR), a unifying national digital infrastructure to energize the entire education ecosystem” he added. 

The main goal of the EDUCATE Summit 2021 was to discuss various possibilities in the field of the Indian education sector in the new normal world as well as the prevention of challenges against the same. 

Highlighting the major changes required in the education system, National Education Technology Forum (NETF), Shri Dharmendra Pradhan stated that the NETF is specially designed to offer a free of cost platform where ideas can be exchanged.

“IETF will facilitate decision-making in the induction, deployment, and use of technology. It will not only provide the latest knowledge and research but also the opportunities to consult and share best practices with state governments, education institutions, and other stakeholders”.

He added that the platform will offer the free exchange of ideas related to various aspects of education, such as learning, assessment, planning, administration along with schools and higher education institutes’ ideas in various fields. 

Adding to the same, CN Ashwath Narayan, Higher Education Minister of Karnataka stated that the college management system is built on the basis of transparency, efficiency, and accessibility. 

He further added that with this, the college management system is able to use technology to strengthen our education system and implement the NEP 2020 to the fullest.
