Madhya Pradesh Government has declared that MP schools will remain shut for standard 1-8 until December 31, 2020 in view of the pandemic situation. Whereas, classes for 9 to 12 students will continue partially during the same period.
On November 29, the School Education Department of Madhya Pradesh released a notification stating that all the MP schools for 1-8 class students will be closed till December 31. However, the schools have been asked to remain operational so that students can reach out to the teachers for resolving their doubts.

The School Education Department also tweeted the same thing on social media confirming the news.

Parents’ Consent
Students who wish to visit school need to submit their parents’ consent and then attend the classes. The State will be abiding by the rules defined by the health ministry and education ministry applicable to all schools that operate during the pandemic.
Hostels will not be opened during this time says the officials to avoid gathering and take any chances for spreading the virus. This decision by the authorities will remain intact until further notices. Moreover, the state officials are encouraging online teaching for all the educational institutions.
Previously, the state government had released a notice that classes for primary and upper nursery will remain closed in order to prevent the virus from spreading. However, the classes for 9-12 will be operational with partial strength only.
