MP Board Class 10th Exam 2021 assessment plan has been released by the School Education Department of Madhya Pradesh after cancelling board exams. This decision has been taken in light of the recent increase in COVID-19 cases throughout the country.
MP Board has given new directions to the schools to assess the students of class 10th. As per the assessment criteria released, students appearing for MP Board Class 10th Exam 2021 will be evaluated on the basis of their mid-term exams or pre-boards, unit tests, and internal assessment. Students will be assessed out of 100 marks for each subject.
On May 14th, MP School Education Department tweeted regarding the same which reads, “Keeping in view the severity of corona infection, the Board of Secondary Education will not conduct the 10th examination. A copy of the circular for the preparation of examination results of regular and self-students is attached.”

As for the updates for Class 12th Board examinations, the Department has postponed the examinations till the condition of the country improves, however, it has assured the students that any notification announced will be declared at least 20 days before the examinations. Madhya Pradesh board exams 2021 for classes 10 and 12 were initially scheduled from April 30 and May 1, respectively.
MP Board Class 10th Exam 2021: Complete Assessment Plan
As per MPBSE’s assessment plan for Class 10 students, written tests and internal assessments will add to the preparation of results. 50% weightage will be given to Pre-board results, 30% to unit tests and the remaining 20% to internal assessments.
Additionally, past performance of schools will be considered while calculating marks of MP Board Class 10th Exam 2021. Specifically, performance of students in the past three years of schooling will be considered.
Candidates who fail to obtain 33% marks in the results will be promoted after being given grace marks. However, those students who did not appear for any exams throughout the year, including pre-boards or unit tests will be considered as failed and they will have to repeat Class 10 and take board exams, the next year.
MP Board Class 10th Exam 2021: Assessment Plan for Private Mode Students
Meanwhile, students who would appear for board exams in private mode, will not receive any scope for internal assessment. Such candidates will be awarded marks based on the average of the best of five subjects obtained by them in the past year.
In case a candidate fails to clear an exam, they will be given 33 marks and promoted to next class. In case a student is not satisfied with the awarded marks, they can appear for written exams at a later stage when the situation turns conducive for physical exams.
