The Rajasthan State Government is now preparing to add over 300 admission seats for the MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) course and to offer the course in three new medical colleges from the next academic session of 2022.
During a meeting held by Medical education secretary Vaibhav Galriya with officials, the government will discuss the commencement of MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) course 2021 from the next academic session.
Referring to the initiative, Vaibhav Galriya stated that the Rajasthan Government has already begun the construction of three new government medical colleges in Dholpur, Chittorgarh, and Sriganganagar.
Adding to the statement, Sri Ganganagar MLA Rajkumar Gaur stated that the construction of new medical colleges in the state is now under process. Once the construction is finished, the medical facilities offered to the general public of Rajasthan would increase.
“There would be no shortage of funds in the construction of additional medical colleges and maximum assistance would be given from the MLA fund if needed”, Sri Ganganagar MLA Rajkumar Gaur further added.

Medical education commissioner Shivangi Swarnakar added that before the starting of medical colleges, the National Medical Commission (NMC) will conduct a mandatory inspection. The inspection is expected to complete before the start of the new academic session in 2022.
To apply for admission to the new Rajasthan Medical Colleges 2021, applications will have to clear the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG). As of now, Rajasthan Medical College offers a total of 3683 MBBS seats to interested applications.
National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) 2021 was conducted on September 12, 2021, for various medical program admission including; Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), BSc (Hons) Nursing, etc.
