MBBS Admission 2021: Medical students have raised several questions over the central government for not following the Central Educational Institutions (Reservation in Admission) Act, 2006 for OBC Students in MBBS, and PG Admission 2021.
Students from around the country are now protesting over the MBBS Admission 2021 reservation matter for OBC candidates as the National Testing Agency's notice stated that the OBC reservation can not be implemented since the case is still pending in the Supreme Court.
As per the clarification notice released by National Test Agency, the implementation of 27% OBC seat reservation in MBBS/ PG admission in All Indian quotas will be on hold as the agency has not received any instructions from the supreme court.
However, during the week in Parliament, the Central Government stated that MCC, which is responsible for conducting MBBS Admission in the country based on NEET Exam 2021 score, has not received any complaints regarding the reservation.
Earlier this week, the Central Government clearly stated that the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has not received any complaints regarding the implementation of the Central Educational Institutions (Reservation in Admission) Act, 2006 in MBBS/PG Admission 2021.

MBBS Admission 2021: Madras High Court Criticizes Central For Not Following Reservation Criteria
Keeping in mind the concerns of students, the Retired Madras High Court Judge has submitted his report regarding the unfair treatment of NEET regarding offering MBBS Admission seats.
In his report, he added that NEET is offering MBBS Admission seats to those students who have a rich background, while students from rural areas are not being treated equally.
As a result, this unfairness in MBBS Admission 2021 will lead to a lack of qualified doctors in Tamil Nadu rural areas, as rich students would not like to work in rural places.

Along with the report, the Madras High Court has also criticized the central government for not following the (Backward Classes) BC reservation in All India Quota (AQI) as of July 27, 2020.
Madras High Court has directed the government to show proof of implementation of (Backward Classes) BC and OBC reservation criteria in the MBBS/PG Admission 2021 process in a week’s time.
As per the court’s statement, the non-implementation of Other Backward Classes (OBC) category reservation criteria can not be done with the Union Government.

MBBS Admission 2021: Students Federation Submitted Complaint Against NEET
Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar National Students Federation has submitted its complaint against the unfair means used in MBBS Admission 2021 to the National Commission for Backward Classes, SC, ST Commission, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
As for the student group, medical students have also submitted a report regarding the non-implementation of OBC 27% reservation criteria by the Deemed universities.
Atul Khobragade, Founder and President of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar National Students Federation has stated that by not following the correct method for offering MBBS Admission seats, the students of SC/ST, and OBC category are losing allocated reserved seats.

MBBS Admission 2021: Next Might Be a Replacement For NEET PG From 2023
As per the records, the National Medical Council (NMC) will be introducing National Exit Test (NeXT) from the year 2023 which can come out to be a replacement for the NEET PG Examination 2021.
National Exit Test (NeXT) 2023 Examination will be conducted for the final year Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) through online means. The syllabus for the same will only include the concepts of the undergraduate courses.
As per the former Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Dr. Harsh Vardhan statement, the exam might replace NEET PG 2021 and will be held in accordance with the government’s one nation one exam plan.
