Manipur COHSEM Reduces Class 12th Syllabus By 30%, Exam Likely to be held in May 2021: Read Details Here


Manipur Board Exam 2021: Council of Higher Secondary Manipur (COHSEM) is expected to conduct the class 12th examination (HSE) with a 30 per cent relaxation in the syllabus.

COHSEM secretary Ch. Biren Singh said that the Manipur Board Exam 2021 is likely to be held in May 2021, the preparations are almost over. He further informed the state government will soon announce the school reopening dates within a week or two.

Ch Biren Singh added, “Once schools are reopened we will circulate the exam schedule. We are awaiting the government’s approval. During the discussion, we received important suggestions. Many of the principals suggested reducing the syllabus by 30 per cent and also conducting the examination offline.”

Additionally, the matter regarding the mode of exams, whether to be online or offline, is under discussion between COHSEM and school principals. Manipur Board 2021 exam dates are likely to be released in February / March 2021.

The board will publish Manipur Date sheet 2021 for both HSLC and HSE on the official website. Furthermore, the majority of schools are in favour of conducting the examination offline, i.e, out of 188 higher secondary schools, 136 are in favour of offline examination.

The Manipur Council is also looking forward to doubling the number of exam centres, due to the pandemic; the centres have already been identified

Keeping in mind the safety of students, and the Ministry order, the state also reportedly prepared a separate SOP for the reopening of schools. Meanwhile, on receiving state government’s approval, COHSEM has announced the promotion of Class 11 students by April 2021.
