Mahindra University, Hyderabad launches its School of Management; Check Programme Details Here

Following the significant success of Mahindra University's Ecole Centrale School of Engineering, Mahindra University announces the launch of its School of Management for the 2021-2022 academic session, with Cornell University's SC Johnson College of Business as its academic partner (an ivy league institution located near New York, USA).

Through this collaboration, three UG programmes will be offered beginning this academic year: BA in Economics & Finance, BBA in Digital Technologies, and BBA in Computational Business Analytics (an interdisciplinary programme with the École Centrale School of Engineering).

Cornell University's expertise in curriculum development, faculty exchange programmes, including some speciality courses delivered by Cornell faculty to Mahindra University students, and student immersion at Cornell will benefit Mahindra University School of Management (MU – SoM) significantly.

Dr. Ramakrishna Velamuri, a renowned management academician, has already been appointed as Dean and Professor. He has extensive international experience leading management programmes and teams across continents, having worked in Asia, Europe, and the Americas. The faculty will be an accomplished mix of Indian and international academics, all of whom hold PhDs and have a strong research focus.

The School of Management will have a curriculum that is strongly aligned with industry needs, as well as a strong research orientation, a high-quality faculty pool, and a student-centric pedagogy. Furthermore, the Mahindra Group connection will ensure that the programmes' resilience can be tested against industry requirements on a regular basis.

The plan is to begin with undergraduate programmes in the upcoming 2021-22 session, followed by post-graduate, PhD, and management development programmes over time. All of the programmes will emphasise moral values and business ethics, as well as the importance of critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
