Maharashtra To Begin Admission for Engineering and MBA Courses From Next Week


Maharashtra Govt is planning to start the admission process for the academic year 2020-21 for all the MBA and engineering courses from next week. 

Admission to process courses have been completed under the CET cell, but the state will be commencing the admission process for the ITI sector now.

The Directorate of Vocational Education and Training has issued a circular stating to follow the State's Law to refrain Quota policy for ITI admission process.

The reservation policy was enforced for the Socially and Educationally backward class (SEBC) category candidates only. 

As most of the students have already applied under this reservation category, the directorate gave a considerable amount of time to change their application forms. The window to make changes in the application form will be open until November 30, 2020 by 5 pm.

The application process for ITI admission started from August 1 and the state body released the first round of admission list before September 9, 2020 when the Supreme Court gave its order.

Keeping this in view, the order from the Supreme Court will not be applicable for those students who have already been given admission under this reservation category.

An official from the Directorate informed that around 2504 students have been given admission under SEBC category in the first round out of 27,000 students.
