Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) will be declaring the SSC and HSC exam dates this week. Maharashtra HSC 2021 exams are expected to be held after April 15, whereas SSC exams are likely to be held in May.
Maharashtra State Board will be releasing the exam dates for Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) board on the official website. Board Chairman, Dinkar Patil also advised students, parents, and teachers to start their preparation for the Maharashtra board exams.
Primary Education Minister, Varsha Gaikwad also confirmed the news by posting on her Twitter account that stated, the government is planning to reopen schools for students of classes 5 to 8. The decision will be made only after consulting with the health officials. She also announced that exams will be held in April-May 2021.
We are considering holding HSC exams after April 15 and SSC exams after May 1. State is consulting health officials on the possibility of reopening schools for standard 5th to 8th. A decision will soon be taken.

Meanwhile, Patil also said that over 2 lakh students appeared for the supplementary examination which was conducted smoothly. The board is expecting to conduct regular exams of Maharashtra SSC 2021 and Maharashtra HSC 2021 in a similar manner by following all the safety protocols. The result of supplementary exams will also be announced in two weeks.
After the CBSE board released its date sheet for class 10 and 12, most of the states are following the same path to conduct the board examination. Most of them have postponed it till May 15 and are yet to release the date sheet for class 10 and 12 exams.
Usually, Maharashtra board exams are conducted in February-March. But due to COVID-19 imposed situation, the exams have been delayed by 40-45 days.
Earlier, teachers groups across had sought clarity on the conduct of Maharashtra SSC 2021 exam for Class 10 and Maharashtra HSC 2021 exams for Class 12 within the state. In view of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Maharashtra HSC, SSC examinations were unlikely to be held before May-June 2021.
With the extended lockdown, schools had to continue with online education which almost disrupted the form of teaching practised in the country. It led to a huge academic loss, and teachers expect more time to complete the syllabus for board exams.
