Maharashtra College Admission 2021 for Non-Professional Courses after HSC Results: Education Minister


Maharashtra College Admission 2021: Maharashtra State Higher and Technical Education Minister Uday Samant has declared that the state will start admissions for various non-professional courses after the declaration of Maharashtra Class 12th Result 2021. 

On June 27, 2021, Minister Uday Samant stated that due to the cancellation of Maharashtra Board Class 12th Board Exam 2021, the result of the same will be released based on the evaluation criteria. Only after the result release, the MAH-CET 2021 admission process will begin. 

“Class 12 board exams have been canceled, and only after the results are declared, we will decide on having MAH-CET 2021 or not,” Maharashtra State Higher and Technical Education Minister Uday Samant officially stated.

He further added that the Maharashtra State Higher and Technical Education Board has options to either start the admission process for non-technical courses based on CET marks or commence the admission based on marks obtained in Maharashtra Board HSC 2021

Along with the admission decisions, Uday Samant also interacted with teachers who have been seeking recruitment in various Maharashtra Universities. The state government is now set to fill the 4,074 posts of teachers. Over 1,600 posts have already been completed. 

Due to the increasing cases of the covid-19 pandemic, the recruitment process for the remaining 4,074 posts of teachers in various state universities was put on hold.

Referring to the same, Samant further added that the recruitment process for the remaining seats will begin soon, and a government resolution will be issued after receiving approval from Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Ajit Pawar.

“The remuneration per hour for teachers on a clock hour basis in undergraduate programs has been increased from Rs 500 to Rs 615 and from Rs 150 to Rs 250 for practical”, he added. 

“For postgraduate courses (PG), it has been increased to Rs 750 from Rs 600, while it would be Rs 300 in place of Rs 250 for those conducting practical exams. The government will also fill up 121 vacant librarian posts soon,” Samant said.
