Students who are unable to attend the board exams due to Covid-19 will be getting a second chance to appear for the exams in the month of June. These additional examinations will be conducted in the selected centres in Maharashtra.

Practical examinations for Class 10 and Class 12 humanities students have been cancelled this year, whereas Class 12 science students will have to attend practical examinations on the basis of shortlisted experiments. Also, as per the Maharashtra Board exam dates, assignments and practicals will be conducted from May 21 - June 10, 2021.

Students failing to submit their assignments will be given additional 15 days to do so. HSC, SSC Exams 2021: Important Guidelines

  1. Examinations would be conducted in offline mode for both Class 10 and 12
  2. Board exams would be conducted in the same schools that the students are enrolled – this has been done due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on travel
  3. Practical exams for Class 10 would not be conducted this year – for class 12, the practicals would include limited experiments
  4. Half an hour extra to be given to students to write, differently-abled students to get one entire extra hour.
  5. Thermal screening to be done at all exam centres for students.
  6. If students have Covid or are in containment zones during exam dates, they can give a special exam in June. This will be treated as the main exam and not as a supplementary exam.

Maharashtra Board will be releasing detailed guidelines on conducting the exams shortly. Maharashtra HSC exam will be conducted from April 23-May 29, 2021.
