LU Admissions 2021: Lucknow University has launched a new four-year undergraduate course for all students under the new National Education Policy 2021. Students can receive a bachelor's degree after the completion of the course.
Under the recently launched 4-year Undergraduate Course of Lucknow University, students will be credited with 192 credits which are distributed as 24 credits in each of the eight semesters.

The Lucknow University (LU) Undergraduate program will include three bachelor’s degree curriculum, and an additional year for research study in their relevant field.
The UG program of Lucknow University will include a paper on Research Methodology in the seven semesters. Along with the paper, five additional papers will also be added in the fourth year. In the last semester, students will have to complete a major project worth 24 credits.
Lucknow University UG Program 2021 four-year course curriculum will include a total of 2 major courses and 2 minor courses which are;
- Major 1 Course – 20 papers (4 credit points each)
- Major 2 Course – 12 papers (4 credit points each)
- Minor 1 & 2 Course – 4 papers per course. (4 credit points each)
Additionally, students who do not wish to pursue the course will have the option to leave at the end of the year. In accordance with National Education Policy 2020, students who leave the program after completing the first year will be offered with a diploma degree.
Similarly, if they leave after the second year, they will be awarded a certificate course degree. Students who wish to leave the LU UG Course 2021 will be offered with a general bachelor’s degree program.
Those who complete the Lucknow University new four-year undergraduate course year program will be awarded with an integrated bachelor’s degree with research.
Referring to the course, Vice-Chancellor Professor Alok Kumar Rai. Spokesperson Dr. Durgesh Srivastava stated that in accordance with National Education Policy 2021, students will be offered with intra-departmental and interdepartmental options in subjects.
